Friday Night Funkin': Neo is a mod that completely overhauls the game, from the graphics to the music. Through downloading and installing this mod, you can gain access to a newly redesigned version of FNF. It has an emphasis on giving the game a futuristic, neon-inspired look.

This includes all new content, such as specially written tracks, all-new sound effects, and themed graphics, all of which contribute to the game's futuristic, neon look. What is Friday Night Funkin’ Neo? 

Friday Night Funkin': Neo is a mod created by GameBanana user, JellyFishedm. Everything is redesigned, from the fonts to the backgrounds to the songs themselves. The entire mod has a retro neon look, and the characters themselves have changed to reflect this, with their bright neon colors and sleek shiny accessories. The mod is still in development; JellyFishedm announces the mod’s most recent updates on its official Twitter page

For those that are unfamiliar, Friday Night Funkin' is a PC game that tests your sense of rhythm. The game requires you to press particular buttons at specific times: the screen shows which key you must press, and the game awards points for both accuracy and beat timing. The dynamics are similar to Dance Dance Revolution, in that you click the key when the floating arrow meets the outline of the floating arrow (seen on top of the screen).

You must align each arrow the best you can with your WASD or arrow keys. The Neo MOD includes the executable file required to play the game, eliminating the need to install the MOD files in the original game folder. You just need to unzip it into a folder you previously built and run the included EXE file.
